Keep It Short, Okay?

I don’t know exactly why, but my mom seems to be the source of so many funny incidents.
This is another Mom story.
She’s probably like a lot of other folks who don’t want Sunday sermons to go on and on and on. George Burns must have shared the attitude when he said: "A good sermon should have a good beginning and a good ending, and they should be as close together as possible."
A similar statement from an anonymous source is this one: "A good sermon should be like a woman's skirt: short enough to arouse interest but long enough to cover the essentials."
So, this brings me back to Mom. One Sunday, as she was leaving church, she shook hands with the pastor and said to him: “You know, it’s okay to save something for next week!”

Very funny! I'm glad she takes advantage of her age to speak her mind--her generation can get away with it more!
I must say, she has a point...

Pleased to meet you! (bloggy handshake)
