WW: Such a Little Church

Photo selections for this week's weekly display in the world of blogging are these two of a small church I just happened to see a few months ago just above McCormick and Hickory Knob near the Savannah River, i.e. the South Carolina/Georgia line.  Perhaps I was intrigued because I'm used to worshipping in a much large church building.

PhotoHunt: SPORTS

Sports.  That's the topic for this week's Photo Hunt.  I started to post pictures of my three grown children; they've certainly been good sports in putting up with me.  To use pictures of people who have been good sports in putting up with me might have led to an overflow of photos!

While looking through files, I decided instead to use pictures of my brother Shawn engaged in water sports.  He is an avid skiier and a championship skiier.   These were taken at Hickory Knob State Park (SC) in August.

Sometimes he skis on one ski, sometimes backwards (like in the next shot), sometimes barefoot!

Oops!  As I visited a few sites of other Photo Hunt participants, I was reminded of another photo that fit this category, so I'm adding it now.  My dad used to be a boxer known as the "Blond Tiger."  He's in the middle in the photo below. 

PH: Ripples and More Ripples!

The Photo Hunt theme this week is RIPPLES.

Last weekend, about 25 family members gathered at Hickory Knob State Park (McCormick, SC) to celebrate Mom's 84th birthday. These two skiers - son-in-law Adam and brother Shawn - created lots of ripples in the water.

Shawn was skiing but he's hidden by the water in this photo.






These two photos show Adam creating ripples. Adam is married to Mandy, my youngest daughter.

Brother Shawn is in the next two.

Okay, maybe I stretched it a bit. These may be bigger than mere ripples, but they were ripples by the time they reached the shore -- maybe??? How else was I going to show off my brother and my son-in-law?
