PH: TWELVE Yep, Twelve!

This week's PhotoHunt theme is "twelve."  Perhaps that's because of the twelve days of Christmas, but that's not what I went with this week.  (The 12th day of Christmas is actually January 6 or Epiphany or Three Kings' Day.)

Instead I took a photo of 12 of my favorite Christmas stockings.

Here are a few close-ups.

Narrowing it down to twelve wasn't easy, so I'm sharing a few of the others as well.

Just as a bonus, here's a bit of trivia: If you got all of the gifts mentioned in "The Twelve Days of Christmas," how many gifts would you have?

Answer:  364

After posting this, I learned that the reason twelve was chosen as the theme was because the person who started Photo Hunt has a son who was celebrating his 12th birthday!

That's a lot of stockings and a lot of gifts for the 12 days of Christmas.

Have a terrific weekend. :)

The photography group I formed will be 2 years old in January. Each month we have an optional theme for our members' SHOW & TELL.

Since you do "Photo Hunts," would you please suggest a theme for next month.

I'll share what happens!

And did Santa fill all those stockings?

Great take on the theme, and the stockings are great as well.

This is a great idea. My mom made stockings over the year. I wish I could sew.

We have the original handknit ones that we got over 30 years ago for our first Christmas. They are hung up every year.
