PhotoHunt: PINK

This week's PhotoHunt them is "pink."

Well, I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of pink. I've never known exactly why I'm not much of a pink person. Maybe it's because everyone assumes females like pink -- and I've always been somewhat of a rebel or maverick.

However, I'll admit there's not much any more beautiful than a pink sky.

My beautiful town, Summerville, has something blooming year 'round. In fact, Summerville is home of the annual "Flowertown Festival."
Right now, the town is full of crape myrtles. (Yes, it's spelled "crape" for the tree and for the armband; it's "crepe" for the food. Some sources show crepe myrtle as an alternative but not the preferred spelling.)

In the spring, there are azaleas everywhere!

No, these aren't pink flowers, but the building behind them is pink.

This pair of reading glasses has pink in the frames.

This tree with pink blossoms is in front of Town Hall, but the real reason for including it in this week's PhotoHunt is because it shows the flags blowing in the breeze. Happy July 4th!

My pinks are up here.
Love the sky views and the crepe myrtles now in bloom until fall. I have good friends that live in Summerville.. Tom and Barb Thornton... a lovely couple who were wonderful neighbors in Mississippi.

I am so sorry to read about the passing of your beloved husband... my prayers will be with you. It doesn't matter how long we love someone or are with them... what matters is the depth and quality of that love. I can tell by your tribute... you loved him deeply. May God keep you in His hands at this time.

I love pink skies!

Pink is my favorite color - but being a rebel myself it's something that people don't expect of me, and that makes it even more rebellious. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy photo hunting! And happy 4th!

Fantastic shots of the gorgeous sky and flowers and fun that you found pink in your glasses frames. My crepe myrtles are a few weeks behind yours although there are some around town in full bloom. I noticed you're in SC and I'm in the triangle are of NC so that makes sense mine would be a little behind ones further south.

Hi Sherry --

Like you, I rebelled -- at least for a time -- against the idea that girls would like pink. In recent years, however, have come to like the color -- though still not as much as blue, especially to wear! :b
