It’s official. I’m on a diet.
If you’ve read other stuff I’ve written recently, you might know that I learned not long ago that I’d lost two inches – but they were in height.
Even before that stark revelation, I knew my height and weight didn’t “go together.” I wasn’t overweight; I was under-tall.
Last year I joined an organized group for weight loss. At the outset, we each had to state our goals.
As we went around the room announcing those goals, I heard others saying they wanted to lose 5 pounds or 10 pounds or maybe 25 or 30.
My own objective wasn’t numerical. I just wanted to be able to wrap the towel all the way around me when getting out of the shower!
Well, I don’t about all the other folks, but I reached my goal: I bought a larger towel!
About two weeks ago, though, I decided I didn’t want to have to use beach towels after showers.
So, last week I started a new diet, a new way of eating and even a little bit of activity. (Activity sounds so much better than exercise, doesn’t it?)
In a few months, I hope to be able to downsize – from beach towel to just extra-large.
We’ll see.

holy crap, i am on a diet also, I eat as much as i want:>
Good luck. Losing weight is not easy when we get older. I so can relate.
Have a terrific day. :)
I know I have said this somewhere (hopefully not on your blog), but I am convinced the only way I can actually lose weight is to eat nothing.
Good for you. Just count those calories and do some walking. Results will start to show.
